Worship
Morning worship is at 10:30am and usually tends to have a traditional emphasis, although we do have 'All Age Worship' once a month which is more radical in both musical content and often uses modern bible translations and drama to illustrate the theme. Our worship features: i) a sincere desire to hear God's Word for us today as we study the Bible together, ii) intercessory prayer to our Father in heaven who delights to hear and answer our prayers, iii) honest and intimate worship of God through music and prayers, and iv) an acknowledgement of the importance of sharing with one another in our worship as we gather together. The Elders are constantly open to new ideas and concepts, we embrace the image of a God who is constantly leading us all in new and undreamed of directions, and who calls his pilgrim people to the challenging task of moving on with Him.
Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday of each month. We adopt an open table policy, inviting all who accept Jesus Christ as their Saviour to partake, whether members of the Church or not. On the third Sunday of each month we worship together, young and old, for the whole of our time in All-Age worship. These more informal and lively services are eagerly anticipated and enjoyed by everyone of whatever age. On three of these Sundays in the year we have a Parade Service when the members of the Guiding Association are invited to come to worship in uniform. Members of the Junior Church attend the first part of the morning worship, this includes the family time, which is eagerly awaited by them. Over the last four years the music group, leads the congregational singing in all age worship.
The Church has a Victorian organ, that was renovated in 1994 and is now in excellent condition. We also have a small choir of church members, who lead the hymns and songs during the worship.
