The night shelter from January to March 2011 followed a bitterly cold autumn/winter and Trinity’s Monday night/Tuesday morning was welcomed by the guests who benefited from the evening meal, bed and breakfast, and social evening in a warm, welcoming environment.

There are a variety of reasons that men and women are homeless. The continuing harsh economic climate has resulted in very few jobs coming available, and it has been difficult to find jobs and accommodation, but the ongoing advocacy work of Wycombe Homeless Connection makes a real difference – not just for the period of the Night Shelter but throughout the year.

The work of the Night Shelter has increased year on year since its inception four winters ago, and each season finds us fine-tuning aspects of the service and sees us with increased numbers of volunteers
