Revive Review November 2007

Print PDF
  • Phase 1

In November 2007 we opened the new west entrance which gives access by steps and a ramp from the road to the car park. The redevelopment for this phase includes new toilets, including one for disabled people, and a new vestry. In addition, the Lower School Room has been redecorated and the corridor to the kitchen has been renovated. Photographs from the work are also available

The grant from our Synod and monies raised by the church members have covered this first phase of our redevelopment.

  • Phase 2

The next phase of work includes re-envisioning the sanctuary, both for worship and for other community uses. We are delighted to have received news from our Synod that we have been successful in our application for a further grant which will enable us to move forward more swiftly with our plans. This phase will incorporate a new heating system.

A formal application and detailed proposal will be sent to the Listed Buildings Advisory Committee within the next few months. We are keen to ensure that we are as visionary as possible for Trinity, and will be consulting as widely as possible with organisations who might be interested in hiring various parts of the church premises in months and years to come, so that we do not limit the potential for this phase.

  • Phase 3

The Crendon Hall will be the third phase of redevelopment and we hope to give this a major overhaul and provide new kitchen and toilet facilities. A fundraising campaign will be launched to enable this to happen.
